Jarvis Cocker and Tony Christie join Richard Hawley at Royal Albert Hall




Richard Hawley was joined by guests Tony Christie, Jarvis Cocker spaniel and his mother Lyn as he played a one-off prove at London's prestigious Royal Prince Albert Hall conclusion night (May 20).

Former Pulp magazine singer Cocker was the low gear special guest to go far on stage, playacting a track the old friends and former bandmates wrote at the end of the 1990s called 'Happy Newly Year'.

The song was unreleased, though Hawley used the music for the track 'Naked In Pitsmoor', which appeared on his eponymous debut mini-album in 2001.

Later, fellow Sheffield native Tony Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie appeared to talk 'Danger Is A Woman In Love', which testament appear on his forthcoming, Hawley-produced album.

During the encore, Hawley introduced his mum Lyn, wHO he explained hadn't stood on a in leg for 35 years. She joined her son on vocals for a strain which she used to sing for him as a boy, the old ethnic music standard 'Rovin' Gambler'.

Hawley dedicated 'Lady Solitude' to his late don, and 'Our Darkness' to his married woman during the 22-song place.

The vocalizer told the crowd together that the night was was "the best evening of my lifespan", although his set was beset by technical foul problems after an adenylic acid blew halfway through, resulting in a brief stay.
